Get Help with Analyzers and Sampling Systems
Sampling mistakes are costly. But because it takes vigilance and specialized expertise to avoid problems, mistakes may go undetected. Swagelok Edmonton can help. We offer sampling and analytical instrumentation specialists to check systems over and advise on making adjustments.
Sampling Challenge
Sampling system design requires precision. Even small missteps can affect operation. Sub-optimal choices, like improper probe design and tap location for example, can mean erroneous data and unexpected analyzer downtime. A solution starts with thorough analysis of existing systems. That is where Swagelok Edmonton comes in.
Sampling Evaluation
"SSEAS is a full system evaluation," explains Field Advisor Tom Webster. "We take a holistic look at the facility and report with recommendations and suggestions on how to improve plant efficiency and safety. We can do wake frequency calculations and time delay calculations, advise on line sizing, and help with sample system design."
Sampling Advice
Inaccuracy usually results from problems within the sampling system, not the analyzer. We hunt down root causes and show how to eliminate flaws, using a proven Swagelok method rather than guesswork. You receive clear recommendations, meticulous detail on findings, and as much time as you need to discuss the information.

Tom Webster, C.E.T., Field Advisor
Tom has a decade of experience with industrial fluid systems, including time serving as an operator at a natural gas liquids plant. He has deep expertise in analytical instrumentation systems and assemblies, process instrumentation, piping products, and regulators; and is our lead on analytical instrumentation assessment and advice. He has completed years of training under Tony Waters—arguably the world's leading authority on industrial sampling systems. Following SSEAS protocols he turns up issues with sample transport lines, the location and design of process sampling taps, preconditioning of process samples, control of sample flow and pressure, changes in state, sample isolation and switching systems, and more.

How to Manage Vaporization In An Analytical System Whitepaper
Swagelok is Local and Global
When you receive guidance through our Field Advisory Services, you receive more than advice from one or two certified fluid systems experts. Members of our Field Advisory Services team can draw on a global network of 80+ Swagelok Field Engineers to help analyze problems, discuss mitigation options, and identify the best-value solution based on your priorities.
We can even ask industry thought leaders like Tony Waters to weigh in on customer challenges. Waters wrote the widely used textbook "Industrial Sampling Systems" and leads some Swagelok seminars on analytical instrumentation.
Swagelok Sampling System Training
Earn Swagelok Certificates of Completion
If you design, construct, operate or maintain sampling systems, you know how important quality data is. Inaccuracy usually results from problems within the sampling system, not the analyzer. With our hands-on training, we teach you to tell the difference.
Our training empowers customers to diagnose and eliminate common sampling system design flaws that result in erroneous data, using a proven method rather than guesswork. Swagelok training teaches you in days what it could take years to learn on your own.
