Consistent & Repeatable Coiled Tubing Designs Fabricated In-house with Less Lead-time
by Ryan Meissner on Thu, Nov 21, 2024 @ 16:11 PM
Whether you need long, continuous tubing for use in drilling and well operations or tubing coils fabricated for heat exchange, seal pots, or other process systems, we are now better equipped than ever to meet your needs. We have new purpose-built equipment, miles of high quality tubing in stock, and staff trained in all types of tubing fabrication..
At Swagelok Edmonton we've always provided our customers with coiled tubing and pre-bent tubing of superb quality. Still, we've invested in new equipment to handle these jobs even better. With our NEW tube coiling machine, we can generate exactly the same coils you need, with shorter turnaround times.
Tube coiling capabilities included:
-
Coiled tubing for Single tube coils: reducing the temperature of process fluid through flow of bare tubing or to be utilized in a bath or pot for additional cooling.
-
Tubing coils for Tube in tube heat exchangers: to increase or decrease process fluid temperature through counterflow heat exchange.
-
Heat exchanger coils for Heat exchanger systems: Our team can fabricate multiple tube in tube exchangers together to be utilized in heating and cooling applications.
Our coiling machine allows us to save your coil designs, so we can reproduce identical coils on demand. This means you get consistent quality every time and we can deliver faster, helping you keep your projects on schedule. On our side the process requires one fabrication expert instead of two, increasing efficiency and reducing production time.
Watch the above video to see our new tube bender equipment in action. We offer all types of tubing fabrication, including tube-in-tube coils, bending, cutting, swaging, and threading. To learn more about Fabrication & Assembly Services here →
Broad fabrication options
We offer all types of tubing fabrication, including tube-in-tube coils, bending, cutting, swaging, and threading. Within the range of 1/4-inch to 1-inch OD, we can create the tubing solutions you need. For example, we can produce a tube-in-tube coil with 1-inch OD and a 5/8-inch OD, adding 90-degree bends and preparing tube ends for quick installation.
Our Assembly Technicians have undergone extensive training in fabrication, including meticulous handling of tubing at every step, ensuring every coil meets the highest standards of safety and reliability. Your assembly arrives with full documentation including CAD drawings, P&IDs, Bill of Materials, and warranty details, ensuring smooth integration into your system.
The quality of the tubing itself is always high. Swagelok owns the entire manufacturing process, from receiving the highest quality bar stock to putting inventory on the shelf that's certified with Canadian Registration Numbers (CRNs).
Our tubing quality, handling practices that exceed industry standards, and precise bending are particularly crucial in applications where high temperatures and corrosive media are present, such as sour gas and chlorides.
Optimizing coil design
You're welcome to provide your own designs and specifications. Alternatively, we can assist you in determining the best coil design to meet your needs. We optimize designs for essentials such as safe operation, long-term reliability, minimal parts and connections, corrosion resistance, timely completion, easy maintenance, and low cost of ownership.
